Coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, two or more volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you.

5K Volunteers

Our end of season 5K provides a tangible sense of accomplishment to participants. To celebrate and make the experience one to remember, there are many opportunities to get involved including:

  • Registration
  • Medal distribution
  • Water Station
  • Happy Hair Station
  • Fun Zone
  • Sparkle Runner
  • Cheer Zones

Group Opportunities

Are you part of a group or organization that wants to make an impact in our community? Girls on the Run would love to have you get involved with our program. Here are a few ways you can make a difference while working together:

  • Volunteer together at a Girls on the Run 5K event – from cheer zones to water stations to handing out medals at the finish line and more – there are numerous ways for you to help bring this joyful end of season celebration to life!
  • Volunteer together at the Limitless Potential Brunch.
  • Support our girls and teams with group volunteer projects that you can complete at our office or your location.
  • Team up to contribute much needed services such as translation, transportation, photography, videography, marketing or PR.

Pace Team

As a Pace Team member, you can help us serve more local girls and families, team up with other amazing volunteers and have FUN while making a lasting impact. Pace Team members impact program outreach, fundraising, events, marketing and more.

Additional Individual Opportunities

Want to volunteer but can't commit to a full season of coaching? Want to get involved but not sure where to start?

Individual Impact Opportunities Include:

  • Skill-based options: support GOTR on a project-by project basis. Current needs include graphic design, translation, photography, videography, marketing and PR. 
  • One-time opportunities at GOTR and partner events.
  • Program support projects you can complete at home or in our office.
  • Advocate for GOTR - help us spread the word so that we can serve more girls and families.
