About the Event

Join us as we celebrate our council's 20th birthday! 🎉

This fun and inspirational event will include a delicious brunch, cocktails, guest speakers, party favors, a silent auction and empowering elements that bring the Girls on the Run impact to life.

🎁 Silent Auction: Bid on fabulous items and experiences from generous donors, with all proceeds directly empowering local girls and families.

🛍 Shop: Girls on the Run merchandise and Kendra Scott’s newest and fan favorite items.

🙌 Sponsor a girl: With your gift, you are helping a girl in need unleash her limitless potential. You are giving her a place where she feels accepted and understood, a place where she can connect with her peers, gain confidence and discover her true power and potential. A place where she belongs.

💖 Tax Credit: Taxes can be complicated. Making a difference for girls and families in our community doesn’t have to be!

As a Qualifying Charitable Organization, Girls on the Run serving Maricopa & Pinal Counties is eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Program. This means that by making donations up to $470 (individual) or $938 (couples filing jointly) to Girls on the Run serving Maricopa & Pinal Counties (by sponsoring a girl or girls for example!), you can receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your AZ taxes.

State tax credits are taken when you file your AZ personal tax return, which can result in either less taxes owed or a larger refund. No itemizing is necessary, and you can combine this credit with others including public and private school credits!

* Please contact a qualified tax advisor for advice on your personal tax situation.

👗 Event Attire: There is no specific dress code for this event, and we encourage guests to come as they are! That being said, many attendees choose to wear dressy brunch attire including dresses, skirts or slacks.

We appreciate interest from our younger supporters. However, please note that this is an adult event.

Keynote Speaker: Elizabeth Kunz

Elizabeth Kunz, CEO of Girls on the Run International, is a lifetime advocate for girls and women and has always encouraged others to recognize the power they have to create, nurture, and transform their own lives and the world at large. Liz spent the first decade of her professional life in corporate America before transitioning to the non-profit sector in 1996. When Liz first learned about Girls on the Run, its mission profoundly resonated with her personal mission, and she started volunteering for the organization in 2002. She joined the staff as chief operating officer in 2006 and has been CEO since 2008. Liz has had a long-term and profound impact at Girls on the Run as her values-based leadership has shaped the strategic direction and overall performance of the organization.
