January Girl Hero
Meet Trenn, our January Girl Hero.
Trenn is someone you can always count on to show up with heart, care, and a willingness to help wherever she’s needed. Since officially joining the Pace Team in 2024, she has supported Girls on the Run in countless ways, including serving as a Sparkle Runner for girls in need of a running buddy, volunteering her time at new coach trainings, and spending many hours assisting with behind-the-scenes work in our Girls on the Run office.
What keeps Trenn coming back is her deep belief in the mission. Growing up, she didn’t have access to programs like Girls on the Run, but she was fortunate to have a teacher who saw her light and encouraged her to use her voice without apology. Today, Trenn carries that lesson with her and hopes to be that source of encouragement for every girl she’s able to reach—whether through direct interaction or through the support she provides behind the scenes.
One of Trenn’s favorite ways to volunteer is in the GOTR office, where she has helped pack team bags, organize and inventory season supplies, prep 5K medals, write notes for girls and supporters, and assist with special events like the Limitless Potential Brunch. Helping prepare medals for the Girls on the Run 5K stands out as a particularly meaningful moment for her, knowing each one would soon be placed around the neck of a girl crossing the finish line stronger and braver than when she started.
Trenn values the sense of community that Girls on the Run provides and loves serving alongside inspiring volunteers and staff who share the same purpose. As she prepares to turn 50 this year, Trenn is also channeling her I Can! Power by training for a 50K—an inspiring reminder that we are all capable of doing hard things. We are incredibly grateful for her consistency, compassion, and the heart she brings to our GOTR family.
